The Heavy Duty Divan Base is a super-strong reinforced bed base and features solid MDF top, bottom, and sides, as far as we know it is the strongest divan base on the market. MDF has been proven to be a stronger material than any timber and pegboard divan alternative. The base is designed to take the stress and strain of everyday knocks and bumps. It is ideal for people with autism and other mental health illnesses as well as anyone just wanting a bed that is sure to last.

The base is upholstered in a choice of fabrics and colours (see fabrics below). To complete the look and style of your heavy duty divan, we also have a group of suitable headboards for divans for your convenience (see headboards below). All fabrics used are tested to Source 5 fire regulations and are suitable for residential and most commercial environments.

The base is now equipped with our solid bottom option as standard. The solid bottom is a sheet of upholstered MDF along the underside of the base, rather than a sheet of fabric. This solid bottom adds even more strength to the bed base ensuring it is suitable for heavy duty and challenging behavioural use. It can be covered in a waterproof breathable cover, this is supplied in a blue tick as shown on the swatch. The standard base is 12" deep and is supplied with 2" castors. 2 Drawer or 4 Drawer options are available.

All of our Weight Limits are per sleeper, a single bed assumes that there is 1 sleeper, a small double and over assumes 2 sleepers. If a bed that has a limit of 25 stone, any person who is over this weight would void the guarantee.
